Jeff Seekins

Lead Pastor

Because I’d like to get to know you, I’ll share a little about myself for you to get to know me and we may have more in common that you might think.

Several things can be learned about me by where I’ve been. I was born on a farm in western Wisconsin, raised mostly in northern Minnesota, but finished my last two years of high school in Alaska. From those locales you shouldn’t be surprised that some outdoor experiences find their way into my messages.

I am a graduate of Florida Bible College and Canyonview Bible Seminar in Oregon. My wife, Barb is from Colorado, and we met at Florida Bible College and we have served the Lord together in children’s ministries in the housing projects in Miami, Christian schools, and four different churches. We have four children, born in three states and six grandchildren born in two other states!

Though I trusted Christ for salvation as a child, it wasn’t until my teen years that the reality of Christ in my life began to sink in. Encountering those who added works to the gospel gave me a life-long desire for God’s truth and a burden to share it with others. That desire fits our motto at Community Bible Church (CBC). “We preach Christ in the power of Christ, to present everyone perfect in Christ” -Col. 1:28-29.

So I invite you to consider the claims of Christ. His life-giving message called the gospel is the foundation for spiritual life! I want it to be crystal clear that while we are sinners, Christ died for us, (Romans. 5:8). Salvation is a matter of faith in Christ’s work and not in our works, (Ephesians 2:8-9).

The foundation of the gospel of grace comes from the dispensation of grace revealed to and through the apostle Paul.  Recognizing that God establishes believers through the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery (Rom. 16:25), I proclaim Christ accordingly.

I invite you to join us in the discovery of God’s Word in its natural context. In it we will find truth, relevant for your life today.

Grace to you,

Pastor Jeff Seekins

Georges Craesmeyer

Associate/Youth Pastor

Dear Friend,

I’m Georges Craesmeyer, 37, and my wife Marina and I have three children. With one exception we’ve all been born in Brazil and raised in Santa Catarina State. This is so because first my grandparents, then my parents, and more recently my brother Paul (I was so unofficially), are all missionaries to Brazil, going back three generations to 1969.
I grew up with the privilege of hearing the Gospel and the Word of God taught on a weekly if not a daily/nightly basis. When I was 18 it clicked for me one night at Northern Grace Youth Camp (Senior High 2000). The LORD clearly called me to ministry and we’ve been at it ever since (Marina joined me in ministry in 2004 and in marriage in 2006). In June 2018 we moved to the US and I began as Associate Pastor with CBC in May 2019.
I am a graduate of Berean Bible Institute with emphasis on Missions (May 2004) and also also a graduate of the Camboriu Department of Registration as an Agriculture Technician (December 2006).
We are excited to be organizing and working with the Junior and Senior High Youth Groups. We have weekly meetings at 6pm: the Juniors on Wednesdays and the Seniors on Sundays. Please join us, and family and friends are welcome!

Patti Lakes

Music Director

Music has always been an important part of my life and I love seeing others in our church share their talents with the body. I believe that praise and worship can be an integral part of preparing our heart for worshiping the Lord and learning from His Word. Pastor Jeff and I work together to make sure that the songs that we sing each week reflect the message that is being presented for that week.

Shari Moore

Office Secretary

It has been my privilege to serve as secretary for over 10 years. I enjoy creating material that assists with the different ministries of the church, it’s activities, and keeping the body informed. It is wonderful to work with such a gracious pastor and loving church body.

LOOKING FOR A CHURCH? We’d love for you to join us!
